- Neil Rogers’ team listening to the people

LABOUR'S council team in Wrexham has launched a major listening campaign to connect with local people.

Labour group leader Neil Rogers said his team would meet voluntary organisations, business and members of the public to discuss their concerns and policy ideas. The consultation will play a vital part in forming the local manifesto for the May election.

Coun Rogers promised a manifesto for next year’s election that would reflect the priorities of local people and would be the most representative of local people’s views ever produced by the party.

NEIL ROGERS said:

“Wrexham people want a fresh start from their council. They want an open and competent team that will listen to people’s concerns. That is what Labour will deliver.

“I care passionately about the views of local people, local businesses and local voluntary organisations. Their opinions are vital to the future of Wrexham. That is why my Labour team, working with the local Labour AMs and MPs, will spend the next weeks listening deeply to their concerns.

“This will be an open and honest conversation with the people about their hopes for the future, their concerns and their aspirations.

“I want to know what people think about local services, what their priorities are for their local neighbourhoods. I am determined that my new council team will listen to the views of anyone who wants to make a contribution to the future of our area.

“This failed Liberal Democrat administration has stopped listening to local people. They expect better from their council.”
