WELSH LABOUR QUESTIONS TORIES' PRIORITIES ON POLICE

10th April 2012

Responding to the Welsh Tory FOI regarding Police Force bottled water consumption, a Welsh Labour Spokesman said:

"At a time when the Tory-led UK Government are slashing police numbers in Wales, closing Police Stations in our most vulnerable communities and presiding over a rise in many types of crime, Welsh Tories think it a priority to use public money  on nefarious FOI requests like this.

"It's pathetic, desperate stuff, even by the standards of Darren Millar and Mark Isherwood. Their time would be better spent telling their Tory colleagues in Westminster to stop the police cuts making our streets more dangerous, rather than looking for a cheap headline with attacks like these.

"The Welsh Labour Government, on the other hand, is funding 500 new Community Support Officers to make our communities safer."
